Recap, your local Community Furniture Recycling project nestled in Wardpark, Cumbernauld.

Since our inception in May 2003, our primary goal has been to assist low-income families in furnishing their homes with high-quality goods at affordable prices.

As a registered charity and not-for-profit organization, we both take donations of and collect reusable household furniture and electrical items from Cumbernauld and the neighbouring areas.

Step into our inviting showroom, open to the public, and discover a diverse array of furniture on display. Why not stop by for a visit? You'll be pleasantly surprised by the fantastic selection we offer.

Our Aims and Objectives...

You can split our aims and objectives up in to Social, Economic and Environmental if you like, but we see none more important than the last.

  • Provide low cost affordable furniture to the local Community

  • Recap offers a reliable and friendly Removals Service at very reasonable cost

  • Create jobs and volunteering opportunities for local people

  • Reduce the amount of furniture going to landfill

SO YOU WANT TO VOLUNTEER WITH US…

People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. Getting the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them can be both challenging and rewarding. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of the motivation volunteering can find a place in everyone's life.

Some of the benefits of volunteering are:

  • Developing new/existing skills

  • Meet new people

  • Helping the local Community and Environment
